Nintendo DS

 I would say a worthy age for DS-in it up.... Maybe a little too old in public especially with an audience.

 Ds' make fantastic babysitters.  This DS has taught my nephew how to multi-taks. Good eh? Darcie sure looks like she's enjoying it.  It's funny that even a baby can recognize the unsocial injustice she is receiving.

 How about in the middle of a lecture? IN Public.  How is this normal, but if I brought say, a Barbie to class that would be strange.?.? What's the difference?

 How about playing your DS in the line at Disneyland.  At first I thought, "Hey that's smart! This line is LONG" then I remembered what line we were in, Splash Mountain.  I sure hoped it survived the moisture because they will need it still when they reach adulthood instead of interacting with others like the males in this world.

 College students at a restaurant not only playing the DS in public, but his buddies are watching him and cheering him on.  I couldn't resist cheering myself when I snapped the picture.  I didn't even have to act embarrassed that I took the picture of them, because they knew how silly they were.

 This poor guy is still playing his DS even AFTER he got his order at MCy D's.

 This guy, he's the one that inspired me to start taking pictures.  I had a break in between my classes this semester and I'm hoping he did too (or he would be coming to class an hour early to play his DS) EVERYDAY, everyday, he was out there playing his DS.  He sat in front of me once in class and was asking his buddy what he did wrong with girls.  Well trust me, MANY girls had witnessed him being so engrossed in his game.  I'm sure many would have talked to him. I gather that most girls can handle gamers-but he takes this to a whole new level. It made me think that he was obsessed and playing it all the time.  A huge red flag.

This one is my favorite.  He is playing his DS at a bar.  This man is old enough to drink and is still playing his DS.

I don't have this issue with DS'.  I however, am under the understanding that they are for children and I will stretch it to teenagers.  I also think it would be fine if they love a game even as an adult for them to play their DS. However, I think playing it in public is sad.   What's so wrong with human interaction-or even doing something mind stimulating? You may argue, what is the difference between DSin it up and using your cellphone.  Well it is this: you take a break from cellphones.  While waiting for that class to start I would be on my phone a bit.  I would also meet a new person, a stranger.  I would also read a textbook or another book. I even started doing crossword puzzles during that break. Mothers of the world, please teach your sons not to play with their toys in public as adults.  Also let them be aware that if they do play in public warn them that girls will run from them.

I also had to send all of these pictures to my mom and sister.  They don't believe me when I tell them how many deadbeats there are out in this world-now they are believers.
